β¨ A Personal Note β¨
Hey Reader - I used to have a pillow that said "Every day I'm Hustlin" because I thought that was the only way. And doesn't everyone want a pillow with words? π€¦ββοΈ Thankfully we have grown. I was taught more work. More success. Multi-task. Because you get rewarded when you do more. But we know better now. π
In March, I made a radical decision: I wanted a summer with space, time, and no plans. Fast forward to month three, and guess what? I'm working around 4-5 hours a week (some weeks more, some less). And our business didn't stop. In fact (because we just had our monthly finance meeting), we are up 10% in revenue from last year. β My corporate self is like, "OMG!"
But let's get real. It's been awkward. Filling free time felt weird at first. What do you do with 27 homegrown pickles? But it's also been unbelievably fun.
This summer was about rediscovering joy and bringing it back to my business. We took vacations, movie nights, and endless naps. We read, we chilled, and we embraced the SLOW CEO Era.
Here's the crazy part: the work didn't stop, it just got reprioritized. Here's what's happened behind the scenes....
Revamped our membership with a fun makeover (thanks to a client survey!).
Planned Q3 launches and content so the fun continues (planning = goals and dates, not a finished product). οΈ
Poured our hearts into amazing mastermind and 1:1 clients (my favorite!). β€οΈ
Launched a Christmas in July campaign (those emails were a blast!).
Embraced my #antisocial plan (think: speaking engagements, networking, and community building). οΈ
Booked two more vacations (my love language!). βοΈ
And in between, there was basement cleaning, recipe testing, dahlia growing, chalk masterpieces, finally putting my health first, walking a lot, therapy, and endless friend connections.
Tis the season of planning ahead for fall launches. My amazing Ops Manager is a Click-Up Launch Planning Wiz (She has organized all our launches this year.) and does 1-off VIP Days to help you get organized. And my friend Emily helps you hire a Unicorn VA here.
My friend Dallas Travers ended her podcast after 4 years with the most epic strategy. Listen here.(There are so many juice episodes you are going to want to binge!)
β¨ Bingeable Linksβ¨
I am obsessed with the Olympics. So far I have binged Simone and Sprintersβ
